Discovery NotesPhage ToastMalone was isolated from soil by Blake Hobbs using direct plating at 25°C from moist soil at a depth of 3-5cm. The sample was collected from a playground in Westwood Village, Los Angeles, CA. Near tall grasses and road adjacent. The phage was characterized by Team Phages at Work (Blake Hobbs, Kim Hoh, Iphen Vuong, Kristina Guardino) and Team Can’t Phage us (Aaron Bernardino, Stephanie Demo, Edward Lee).
