Discovery NotesThe phage was found from a sample collected from the topsoil near a tomato plant. It was dug up in Calvin College Campus garden on 9/21/17. The soil sample was dry (the garden looked like it was not watered for a while) and light brown.
Naming NotesTomato is certainly my favorite food. When the phage was discovered I was very happy that I decided to name it in honor of tomato.
