Discovery Notes | The location in which our phage was gathered was in front of The Glaske Center for Engineering, Science and Technology building and located under a tree and a little underneath a bush scattered with leaves. This sample was taken around 8 am on August 27, 2019. The sun hits this area most of the day but it receives some shade as well from a nearby tree and the bush. To reach the selected sample, we dug about 2-4 inches deep and around to collect the sample. It was mainly moist around the area. We then collected the sample and put it into the test tube. It was roughly 6 inches away from the bush. |
Naming Notes | Our phage was given this name because it gave us so much difficulty that we had to use a couple tricks to get our results. Also, our lab group consist of a two soccer players and a basketball player and the term is relevant to both sports. |
