Discovery NotesThis sample was collected from a flower bed in front of the Magee-Women's hospital at 7:21 pm. The weather was mostly sunny, partly cloudy and the temperature was 68° Fahrenheit. It rained in the afternoon which is ideal for promoting bacteria growth. The soil was easy to scoop up and slightly damp from the rain. In addition, the soil is very dark brown and contains debris such as pebbles and sticks. The soil sample was transported in 5 minutes and stored in a room temperature drawer for 15 hours.
