Discovery Notes | We found the TwelfthPlague in soil at Ouachita Baptist University in the garden by Francis Crawford dormitory. Coordinates: 34° 7’ 33” N 93° 3’ 13” W Sampling Date: Sep 3, 2014, 2:00 pm Soil information: Dry soil, sampling depth of 2 cm Air Temp: 33.35° C Recent Weather: Cloudy and had not rained in previous weeks. Isolation was done by enrichment plating. |
Naming Notes | Named because of the number of times the process took in finding and titering the phage was very high, and it was very disturbing like the 11 plagues experienced by the Egyptians in the Bible. We decided to add one more plague to the mix. |
