Discovery Notes | One of several phages was collected from an abnormal actinobacterial deadzone just downstream of the Hooff's Run wastewater treament plant. Despite the low host concentration, this site produced an unusual number of viable phage samples. |
Naming Notes | Named for Tzimisce, an alien virus mentioned in the Vampire the Masquerade tabletop games. I felt it only fitting to give it a spooky name, as I obtained my high-volume lysate on Halloween. What better way to pay homage to a fictional virus than to name a real one after it? |
