Discovery NotesThis sample was collected from a flower bed near the enterance of Litchfield Tower C at Litchfield Tower Complex at the University of Pittsburgh. The soil was dry, covered with mulch, and and decently filled with flowers.
Naming NotesI chose this name because this is the place where I discovered my bacteriophage, near the entrance of Tower C at The Litchfield Tower Complex at the University of Pittsburgh.
Sequencing Information
Sequencing Complete?No
Sequencing FacilityUniversity of Pittsburgh Genomics and Proteomics Core Laboratories
Genome length (bp)Unknown
Character of genome endsUnknown
Fasta file available?No
Characterization
ClusterUnclustered
Subcluster--
Lysogeny NotesThis phage appears to be lysogenic, because my phage has morphologically turbid plaques. However, a lysogen test needs to be done in order to verify this.
Annotating InstitutionUnknown or unassigned
Annotation StatusNot sequenced
Plaque NotesMy plaques are very small (around 0.5 mm in diameter), circular, and morphologically turbid.

Note: The Phage Morphotype could not be determined because there was over-staining on the EM grid. This means that I could not see the tail of my bacteriophage so I could not determine if my bacteriophage is a myoviridae, podoviridae, or a siphoviridae
