Naming Notes | The phage was named Umbridge, after Professor Dolores Jane Umbridge, a fictional character from J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. Professor Umbridge is a major antagonist in the book released in 2003, Order of the Phoenix and the 2007 film adaptation. This name was chosen because initially there was difficulty purifying the phage therefore a villain name seemed suitable. |
