Discovery NotesThe sample was collected from the Madden Garden on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. The soil was somewhat damp when collected and came from a lawn maintained by campus landscaping. The soil was exposed to sunlight as a result of slight uprooting.
Naming NotesThe group members involved in isolating and characterizing this phage are big fans of Lil Uzi Vert. As a result, the first part of the name for this phage is Uzi. Additionally, the initials of the first names of the group members are F, A, and, B, spelling the FAB that follows the Uzi. "UziFAB."
