Discovery NotesVersace was found 10/01/24 on the athletic side of Mount Saint Mary's University campus in Emmitsburg Maryland. It was found in a muddy patch in the grass where we dug about an inch or inch and a half deep. It was raining outside and had been for a few days prior. It was 59 degrees outside.
Naming NotesThe name for this phage came from friends having a phage named Donatella. Donatella Versace is also an icon and so is our phage.

Plaque NotesOur plaques were very small and circular shaped. They were small clearings in the plate that were 3mm in size. They had an opaque dot in this middle which made the plaques look almost like a clear ring.
