Discovery NotesThe phage was isolated from the grassy terrain right outside of my apartment building It was collected from approximately 3cm deep and was a dry area.
Naming NotesI live in apartment complex called Alight in Blacksburg VA. Alight used to be named the Village, and I prefer that name, because that's what it was when I moved in. Among the squirrels and chipmunks that habitat the parking lot, there is also a "stray" cat who roams around. This cat has been named "Trash Cat" amongst Village goers. I originally wanted to name my phage TrashCat as a totem, but it was taken; so I settled for VillCat as a testament to the place I found the phage, and that cat that has been observed fertilizing the dirt I collected.
