Discovery NotesSoil sample collected at 7:11 pm on 9/3/2024. The temperature was 26°C. The soil sample was obtained from a patch of grass next to the Boulder creek.
Naming NotesPhage was named Whiplash because of the varying plaque sizes that was thought to be different phages, which resulted in setbacks in the experiment schedule, to re-perform purification thus the phage was named Whiplash.

Plaque NotesCloudy plaques of ~2.5mm in diameter were frequently shown. This phage occasionally showed varying plaque morphology where the plaques were clear and ~4 mm in diameter, even after purification was performed again. Several rounds of purification were completed, thus it is thought that one phage was isolated, but this phage produces variable plaques.
