Discovery Notes | The soil looked dry from the top, but when I dug 3-4 inches into the dirt it was moist from the bottom of the dry dirt. I have collected 1/2 pound of soil.It was moist and a bit wet because the pond was right by it. It was soft when I have collected it at 3:30 pm. The clay had a really dark brown/black color to it, and had a play doh feeling. It contained mostly roots and small pieces of wood. |
Naming Notes | I named the phage Winnie Pooh, the children's show Winnie the Pooh. It was my favorite show when I was a child and it came straight to my mind when we began to choose phage names. It is a bit funny but fun to deal with. |
