Discovery NotesFound in a freshly laid bed of mulch from a planter in the Schenley Quadrangle at 8:21 PM on 9/5/18. In the planter there were multiple small planters, and the weather conditions at the time were a temperature of 78ยบ and a humidity of 80%.
Naming NotesI was looking for a name that begins with an "X" when I came across the name Xeno. Xeno means "foreign" and I felt like the name worked will given a phage is a virus that infects a bacteria. Unfortunately, Xeno was already taken, and Xero was rejected for being too similar to phage "Zero". Next, I chose the name XLab because I wanted it to also have a connection to me. Lab stands for my initials.
