Discovery Notes | Soil collected from soil near a riverbed. The soil was collected after a few hours of rain and was moist. It was collected from a few inches underground. The soil was dark and contained roots and other organic matter. |
Naming Notes | Ymir is the name of the giant that gave birth to the universe in Norse mythology. I thought it would be a fitting name for my phage who's responsible for my introduction to the research world. In addition, it is the name of a significant character in my favourite tv show (AOT). |
