Discovery NotesThe soil was retrieved from the backyard of my home. The weather was around 20° and there was snow on the ground due to snowfall on previous nights. The soil was hard so I dug down approximately 2-4 inches. I retrieved around 1/2 lb of soil in a clear zip-lock bag. The soil was darker brown and had small pieces of sediment. The soil did become moist since it was slightly frozen with snow.
Naming NotesI decided to originally name the phage ZPhage1 but it did not process through. My professor suggested Zappy and I thought it was a catchy name. I ended up going with Zappy1
