Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected at Cliff Cave Park, where the site features a 20m high limestone cliff to the west, a corn/soy field to the east and south, and a small forest and marsh surrounding a body of water. The area boasts abundant life, including small fish and an unknown 25-30cm long brown snake observed next to the sample site. The collected sample consists of thick, saturated mud with abundant living and dead plant matter and was obtained at 10:15 am.

Regarding the procedures for the 2nd and 3rd serial dilutions, as well as the subsequent spot titer, contamination issues were encountered. The process had to be restarted twice, beginning again from the original sample for the final attempt.
Naming NotesThe name came from my hope that the phage data will be last forever and number 8 is my favorite number. Also, if flip 8 side way, we can have the infinite sign.
