Discovery NotesI discovered Olivino by Villa St. Benedict pond right across from Benedictine University. It had rained the night before and the soil had dried some but was still soft. I collected around 10am.The soil was moist because the night before it rained. In the morning, the soil had somewhat hardened but was still soft when collected at 10:00 AM. I used a digger and reached 2-3 inches before extracting approximately about ½ pound of soil. Soil sample is dark. It also contained small pieces of dead grass and roots. I choose this site because it was near water and I thought I would have a good chance of finding a phage there.
Naming NotesThis name was created from a mixture of my kids names, Olivia and Antonino.
