Discovery NotesThe sample was taken on 09/15/23 at 7:33am from a flower pot in the backyard. The soil was moist because it was raining the past couple nights before. The soil was still a little moist and soft when collected. I used a plastic spoon and reached 2 inches deep. Soil sample is dark and clumpy. It also contained small pieces of roots and wood chips and leaves.
Naming NotesIn the beginning of the process of this lab, I named my phage Lulu after my pet bird that I had when I was a little girl. However I had to change my phage name later in the process to Jen because Lulu was already taken. I chose to name my phage Jen after the actress Jennifer "Jen" Scotts who played the character of the Pink Ranger in the television kids series Power Rangers.
