Discovery NotesSoil collected from my front garden beneath a cut-leaf peony. Anomala genome appears to be very sensitive to degradation. Two different purifications (one using phenol-extracted phages) yielded highly degraded DNA.
Naming NotesThis species of peony is Paeonia anomala.
