| Discovery Notes | I collected my soil sample at 11:09 am 08/21/21 at the coordinates 32.541428 (latitude), -97.285973 (longitude). Due to the recent rain and sprinkler system a meter away, the soil is quite moist, dark, and porous. The location is shaded under an old elm tree and the temperature is ~90 degrees, humidity at 55%, and 5mph winds. With a pre-packaged plastic fork, I dug about 2 cm under the soil near a protruding root and collected a 1/4 sandwich bag of soil. |
| Naming Notes | I named it Apolonia because my identity is very important to me. There are many who try to call me nicknames because my name is too long or difficult, so I want this Phage to be named after me and always be addressed as Apolonia as well. It’s also my first Phage so I feel like it’s become a part of me. |

| Plaque Notes | The plaques are consistently 1 mm in diameter with a circular shape. The majority of the plaques produced are cloudy and signal the lysogenic stage of life. In the center of each cloudy plaque, there is a very small clear spot. |
