This streptomycete is a polyhydroxybutyrate-degrading bacterium isolated from decaying mulch; its closest relatives by 16S rDNA sequencing analysis are Streptomyces vietnamensis, Streptomyces tanashiensis, Streptomyces litmocidini, and Streptomyces nashvillensis. |
