Discovery NotesCold (4.44 degrees C) and rainy week. Phage was collected from potting soil in the backyard. Potting soil had been sitting in the garage where it was relatively warm and dry immediately prior to being potted. Sample was collected the same day of potting.
Naming NotesThe initial name was PVA1, which was changed to Belvedere as the former name did not meet the naming protocol. The phage was given the name Belvedere, after the street on which it was found.
