| From enriched soil sample? | Yes |
| Isolation Temperature | Not entered |
| GPS Coordinates | 36.986423 N, 86.449531 W Map |
| Discovery Notes | The environment the soil sample came from was under the base of the Hardin Planetarium at WKU. The soil was not wet but not crumbly-dry, taken from a depth of <4cm, At an approximate air temperature of 87 degrees F, at a time of around 2:53pm. |
| Naming Notes | The name Cetus is from Greek mythology and descries a legendary seas monster that appeared as a whale-like creature of massive size. Additionally, it is the name of one of the prominent constellations in the night sky, which I found appropriate and simple enough for a name, seeing as the soil sample was under the planetarium. |
| Sequencing Information | |
| Sequencing Complete? | No |
| Genome length (bp) | Unknown |
| Character of genome ends | Unknown |
| Fasta file available? | No |
| Characterization | |
| Cluster | Unclustered |

| Annotating Institution | Unknown or unassigned |
| Annotation Status | Not sequenced |
| Plaque Notes | The plaques that formed on each plate were both consistent yet inconsistent. For example, almost every plaque was 1mm in length, very clear, and had defined borders, however given a high enough population concentration on the plate, some plaques(either thought to be a mutation or natural variation) were 3mm in length and had a fuzzier border. |
