Discovery NotesOur soil was greatly enriched and had several nutrients because it was located underneath a tree. We were able to take the sample near the base of the tree trunk. It was a clear and sunny day around 10 in the morning so the soil was a bit damp.
Naming NotesWe chose this name for our phage because we were both so inspired by the idea that our phage can be a large contributor to science. We thought that the name "challenger" would really put together our feelings on this project.
