| Discovery Notes | Our soil was greatly enriched and had several nutrients because it was located underneath a tree. We were able to take the sample near the base of the tree trunk. It was a clear and sunny day around 10 in the morning so the soil was a bit damp. |
| Naming Notes | We chose this name for our phage because we were both so inspired by the idea that our phage can be a large contributor to science. We thought that the name "challenger" would really put together our feelings on this project. |

| Plaque Notes | Our plaques morphology tended to be irregular throughout. There were definitely different shapes but, overall, there was a large amount of clearing. There was often contamination but that was eliminated later in the process. |
