Discovery NotesSeptember 29, 2023
There are spots present in everyone on our plates from our last time testing and diluting our phage. The top agar had started to solidify so our samples are a bit hard to read but you can tell that phage are present.
Results (October 2, 2023):
Plaques were present in our 10^-5 and 10^-6 plates. Webbing was present in our 10^-4 and a little less in our 10^-3 plate sample.
Results (October 13, 2023):
Our initial titer was 3.3 10^5 pfu/mL
Our titers came out weird and not how they were supposed to. We suspect our top agar may have started to solidify before adding it to the plate and that would cause the titers to not create spots. Our 10^5 and 10^6 have potential.
Results (October 18, 2023):
We were supposed to have plaques and webbed plates but we did not.
Since there were no plaques something must have gone wrong with our original titers. Our lysate was done on plaques.

Our TEM results:
Total length: 184.234
Tail length: 124.940
Head perimeter: 204.612
Head surface area: 3190.331
Results (November 3, 2023):
Phage are present on our plates. New titter is 3.0 x 10^9 pfu/mL. Our lysate plate also has phage present.
