| Discovery Notes | The soil was taken from a compost pile which got mostly sun. The soil was slightly damp, and contained a few bits of sticks. The compost itself consisted of decomposing foods mainly vegetables. The compost also contained chicken manure |
| Naming Notes | The name Duchess was chosen randomly, I chose it because the phage I have been isolating had been killing all of the Mycobacteria Smegmatis from early on, and I thought Duchess sounded like a name of a killer phage. |
