Discovery Notes | The scientist, Colleen, is the person who Isolated the phage. I simply picked it from her plate. I am also unaware of the host bacteria. It is not real A. globiformis. I will unpate the data base when I find out what it is. |
Naming Notes | Well, the reason Enkidu works well as a name is due to the two morphologies of this phage. There is a halo morphology resembling that Enkidu was sent by the Gods to challenge Gilgamesh. The small dot morphology resembles that Enkidu was defeated by Gilgamesh, so he is smaller. |
Sequencing Information | |
Sequencing Complete? | No |
Genome length (bp) | Unknown |
Character of genome ends | Unknown |
Fasta file available? | No |

Plaque Notes | There are two morphologies of plaques. One is halo and the other is small dot. The reason I know it is one phage is due to multiple "failed" purifications to try to separate the moprhologies. |
