Discovery NotesI discovered this phage in a creek in Hawthorn Mellody Park, Vernon Hills, Illinois during a warm and sunny summer day.
Naming NotesI isolated the phage Farmer from Hawthorn Mellody Park, however, the name of that park reminded me of another place in Vernon Hills: Mellody Farm. I tried playing around with possible names derived from one of those two places and landed on Farmer.
