Plaque Notes | The plaques obtained were similar in shape and size to one another. The plaques were perfect circles and had a cloudy/turbid appearance, suggesting the phage is temperate. On average, each plaque was 6-7 mm in diameter. The phage did not grow at all on K lysogen. There was growth on one of the plates stored at 37 degrees Celsius - the plate containing m smegmatis. The length of the phage capsid was 63.6 nm and the length of the tail was 190.9, amounting to a total phage length of 254.5 nm. |
