Discovery Notes | We discovered our phage inside of a flower pot outside of the McCarthy Center. We collected 15 mL of damp and brown soil form the flower pot. |
Naming Notes | The name GUava come from the idea of having a phage name that begins with GU, which represents Gonzaga. Guava was our best option for names that begin with the letter G and U. |

Plaque Notes | The plate from the TEM data. Our plaques were spread out of the plate, plaque sizes varied from 3mm to 9mm. The plaques were pretty constant and they have cloudy edges. When we first began taking notes on our plaques, we noticed we had plaques with both clear and fuzzy edges. As we made attempts to isolate one phage genotype, we noticed that the plaques with clear edges disappeared. |
