Discovery NotesDiscovered August 18, 2024 at approximately 1:30 PM (EST).

Air temperature of 76 degrees Fahrenheit (~24.5 degrees Celcius)

Original sample collected from a closed composting ball with warm, moist soil at bottom.
The soil (compost) was generated through the decomposition of soft kitchen waste and some soft yard waste. Soil was thoroughly wet, but not “muddy” or oversaturated. There was abundant insect and arthropod life present.
Collected at a depth of about 1 inch below the surface of the soil.
Naming NotesName derived from year of discovery and a last name.
