Discovery NotesThis phage was found in a soil sample from the edge of the pond in the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum at James Madison University. I enriched this soil sample to use for a spot test. This spot test came back positive thus indicating the presence of a bacteriophage.
Naming NotesI named my phage after my last name and added "us" to make it sound more scientific.
