Discovery NotesI took the soil sample of where my phage originated from, from the soil of vegetation growing over concrete walls. The graffiti park in Austin Texas is a plot of land where condominiums were planned to be built and the project was abandoned. The concrete walls have since served as a popular sight attraction as the walls are covered in graffiti. Most of the ground was dry and rocky, but I found in a corner of two walls in the middle of the structure a patch of rich soil. Which is where I collected Graphiti.
Naming NotesThe soil sample that I extracted the phage from was collected at Castle Hill Graffiti Park in Austin, TX. The name is pronounced like graffiti but spelled with a 'ph' instead for 'f' in honor of phage.
