Discovery NotesTaken from a grass patch connected to the parking lot of the Elson S. Floyd Cultural Center in Pullman WA. The soil at the time was slightly damp due to the previous night it had rained.
Naming NotesGuanaco otter is a combination of two different species. Guanaco is a native to South America and is closely related to the llama. The other is the otter which had originated from the idea of using sea otter as the name.

Plaque NotesOn the spot test for sample 6, few small plaques arose on the plate. These plaques had a clear appearance and only showed in a small patch, this was due to the fact the plaque needed more phage buffer to allow more plaques to appear. This bacteriophage was isolated with M.foliorum and M.Terrae and was able to react with both.
