| Discovery Notes | The sample was found in Pullman Washington near the DABCO Emerald Down apartment complex B in a stagnant pond- like environment connected to a water drainage ditch. The sample was taken at 7:48 pm Sunday October 15, 2017. The ambient temperature was 36 degrees Fahrenheit and the depth of the sample was taken from the surface of the ground to approximately 2 inches below, and approximately 1.5 feet from the collection site there was a gate that kept most foot traffic out. However, there was a much used path by Washington State University students and Pullman residence. The soil was very damp and thick with a mud-like consistency, and there was some small rocks and pebbles present in the sample as well as some grass from the area (typically found in moist swamp-like environments, and found in most grassy yards). |
| Naming Notes | Cameron Nix came up for the name for this phage, he thought of it because it rhymed with Palouse. |
