Discovery Notes | The sample was collected from a flower box near Clark Park in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The soil was dry and the soil taken was about 10 cm below the surface. |
Naming Notes | I chose the name Jumpman for my phage because it is a Myoviridae so it has a contractile tail. The contractile action reminds me of jumping, and my favorite basketball player is Michael Jordan, who's logo is known as the jumpman. |

Plaque Notes | This phage is highly lytic because the plaques it makes are very clear and small. The lysate generated from the webbed plates it formed was yellow, but not cloudy. |
