Sequencing Notes | This phage has a bizarre coverage pattern. Over 95% of the reads align to one strand (the reverse strand as the final sequence is reported) and only a smattering of reads align to the other. This is highly unusual, and as of Jan 2016 has only been seen in the other Cluster AT phage, Ezio.
Care was taken to ensure that this was not a bioinformatic artifact, and this genome was actually sequenced by Illumina in two different sequencing centers, each time yielding the same coverage pattern. |
