Discovery NotesThe phage was discovered within the soil samples taken from the Garden in my own backyard. Everyone else I live with is into commercial studies so I thought that it would be nice to have them informed of at least one Microbiological entity that they 'live' with everyday.
Naming NotesI named the phage Kratos due to the observations in its plaque formation quantities. Each dilution plate up to 10^-5 displayed clear plates, indicating that the phage wiped out all Smeg-mc^2 155 in the lawn. This is the typical behavior of the Half god-half mortal Kratos, son of Zeus in Greek god mythology. Kratos always showed over abundance of power and left destruction along his path. The phage seems to be as potent in lysis as Kratos was in Becoming the god of war.

Plaque NotesThe plaque appear to be standard in length, ranging between 2mm and 2.5mm. this variation is not due to different phages as 3 purification round have eliminated that possibility. After only one day of incubation the plaques are not as clear as they are after the second day of incubation. The plaques are perfectly circular and distinct after the 2-day incubation period.
