Isolation Host | Microbacterium foliorum NRRL B-24224 |
Found By | Jesus Espinoza, Justin Salsbery |
Year Found | 2022 |
Location Found | Spokane, WA United States of America |
Finding Institution | Gonzaga University |
Program | Science Education Alliance-Phage Hunters Advancing Genomics and Evolutionary Science |
From enriched soil sample? | Yes |
Isolation Temperature | 22°C |
GPS Coordinates | 47.66642 N, 117.40182 W Map |
Discovery Notes | The sample was taken at surface level and had some grass and was slightly moist. The location would have the sun shining on it for most of the day and the sample was taken at 10:50 am with an ambient temperature of 80 degrees Fahrenheit. |
Naming Notes | We named this phage after the Krusty Krab Secret Formula that plankton was always trying to procure. As our difficulty with increasing the phage concentration failed every time just like plankton failed to procure the secret formula. |
