From enriched soil sample?Yes
Isolation Temperature32°C
GPS Coordinates42.7983 N, 85.6547 W Map
Discovery NotesFound beneath a layer of woodchips in a garden underneath a tomato plant. It was collected on 8-24-17 at approximately 8 pm. The soil was moist.
Naming NotesLa diana means bullseye in Spanish, so I just combined the la and the diana to make Ladiana. This is because the morphology of my original plaques were bullseyes.
Sequencing Information
Sequencing Complete?No
Genome length (bp)Unknown
Character of genome endsUnknown
Fasta file available?No
Characterization
ClusterUnclustered
Subcluster--
Lysogeny NotesThis phage did not grow on a Xeno Lysogen plate, which reinforces the DNA analysis that this phage is likely not a cluster N phage.
Annotating InstitutionUnknown or unassigned
Annotation StatusNot sequenced
Plaque NotesSome are bullseyes with defined edges and some seem to mutate and form clear plaques with undefined edges, possibly as a result of density dependent factors or plating using a lysate versus plaque picking.

Plaque morphology changes when grown at 42°C to a large, slightly turbid circle with a halo.

A time of infection test resulted in a slight increase in plaques with increased time before plating, however the data was not consistent and the procedure would need to be repeated before concluding that increased time of infection leads to increase plaques.
