Discovery NotesWater samples from a small artificial pond in a garden (the size of a bucket). There was a high concentration of phages in this sample: we obtained a "webby" plate with 100 microliters of the filtered water on a double layer agar plate!
Naming NotesSince Microbacterium foliorum was originally isolated from a leaf, we thought that our phage could lighten the bacterial load on leaves... and thereby "liberate" them?
