Discovery NotesLilCairo was obtained 4-6 cm underground, from a 6 mL sample of loamy soil extracted near a marsh in the Findlay Creek region in Ottawa, Ontario.
Naming NotesThe name of my phage was inspired by my home city, Cairo. The word "Lil" is a shortened way of saying "little", as a description of the size of the my phage. The word "Cairo", means "the victorious". So, I put both of these together in order to represent my phage as the little victorious phage.
