Discovery NotesFound in a potting plant next near a trash bin. It was between Welch Residence Hall and Hemmingson Center.
I collected soil form a flower pot next to a trash can between Welch and Hemmingson
Temperature: 6°C
Soil was damp
snow was on the ground, but there was no snow on top of where our sample was located
Skies were sunny/it was warm outside but wind was blowing
collected dirt from surface of soil
soil texture was somewhat rocky and had leaves in it
collected about 4 tablespoons of dirt
soil was damp and cold

We incubated at 22 degrees Celsius
Naming NotesWe were thinking of random names and we heard someone say watermelon, so then we decided to just name ours Melon.
