Discovery NotesThe environmental sample was found near an anthill about a foot from a man made turtle pond. After scraping of about half an inch worth of top soil then the sample was scooped into a plastic bag with a plastic spoon. Soil itself was moist with minimal large debris.
Naming NotesThe phage that was pulled from the sample is named mijita. A common nickname used in my hometown as well as other Hispanic communities. It translate in English to mean "my little daughter." I saw this name fitting seeing as we had to nurture our phage in a sense.
