Plaque Notes | The center of the plaques were lightly turbid while the peripheries were more heavily turbid, with less clear space. The plaques were measured to range from 1 to 4 mm in size depending on the density of phage on the plate. Very densely populated plates tended to have more tiny plaques, while more sparsely populated plates had larger plaques. Many plaques were observed to be asymmetrical, although this may have been an artifact of the plating process. |
