Discovery NotesThe bacteriophage was found in soil from Cidra, Puerto Rico. This soil was humid, organic, close to a street in a rural area.
Naming NotesThe name "Moonux" came from our moon and the word in latin "lux" which means light. I chose this name because I find the moonlight to be an extraordinary phenomenon that we get to appreciate almost every night.
