Discovery NotesThe sample was retrieved on January 26th, 2023 in March Field at Lafayette College, around 10 feet from the front entrance of the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity House. The spot was in direct sunlight in soil underneath grass and about 5 feet from foot traffic. The hole was dug around 2 inches deep in order to retrieve the sample.
Naming NotesThe naming for this phage came from a night-time lab where a section of the lab had to be redone. At this lab, going through the trials and tribulations of making sure the phage was still within the sample, a bright light shined down, saying that the phage was still there. At this revelation, the motivational music of Mr. Worldwide (a.k.a. Mr. 305) began to play. We want to dedicate this phage to him, our inspiration and beam of light.
