Discovery NotesWe found our phage outside of the front doors of the Hughes lab building on the Gonzaga University campus. The sample we took was in front of a garden just north of the entrance.
Naming NotesWe named our phage because it came from a deep patch of mud in front of a garden.

Plaque NotesOur plaques have a temperate appearance. Each is perfectly round and appear to grow to about 2mm in diameter. They grow to a good sample size in about four days. The phage will grow at ~22º C but, as we have found through testing, will not grow at 37º C, the incubation temperature we use for our Mycobacterium smegmatis.
