Discovery NotesAt Gonzaga University, our phage was discovered from a soil sample close to the PACCAR Building of Applied Sciences and Luger Field. The soil sample was collected scooped from rocky soil that was on a slight incline.
Naming NotesWe decided to select a name for our phage based on the great Napoleon Dynamite movie. Since our phage is lytic, the dynamite represents its vicious nature and lysis.

Plaque NotesOur phage is clear, circular, and lytic. The size of NDynamite is 2.5 mm by 2.5 mm or 3 mm by 3mm once it completed growing. Under a controlled environment of 37 degrees C, we received the results that NDynamite does not grow in this condition. Also, our phage is not a part of the K Cluster.
